Have you seen the latest Weight Watchers ad? The one featuring a woman shopping at a grocery store with a voice over about how diets don't work but WW does?

Can anyone tell me why is that woman eating in the grocery store? I didn't believe it#comment-2659

There's another one that takes place in a Starbucks type place and she's looking up diets on her laptop.

kimsch's last blog post..Ode To Paula

The NYC Subway system has a series of ads out by weightwatchers that gets my blood boiling.

I think it shows an underlying disdain for their clientele, but I overanalyze a lot.

Maybe it operates on a similar principle to my idea about white chocolate & dark chocolate negating each other. If you eat the food in the store, technically, it's not really yours yet and doesn't count.

Good point. I tried WW for one week. I knew it was time to quit when my son's plastic food for his pretend grocery store started looking rather appetizing.

Oh my gosh - I hadn't even noticed that! I was too busy being incensed at the idea that WW isn't a diet - like, who are you trying to fool, WW?
