I have a feeling I'll be more consistent about exercising if I move my workout times to the evening instead of trying to cram it in during the day. Mornings are my time to get online work done, and we start homeschool right after lunch. Trying to squeeze it in between those things means repeated interruptions, and after about the fourth one I wind up deciding to just skip it for the day.

Then again, moving exercise to the evenings cuts into Happy Hour, which may or may not be a bad thing... depending on which end of the glass you're on.

That's the only way I exercise anymore (except I'm upright on the recumbent bike). I TiVo an hour's worth of television the day or night before and spend the time watching it on the bike. It's the only thing that's kept me consistent. Which is kind of sad, but HEY it works!

I used to get that feeling doing Tai Chi or shadow kickboxing, as odd as that might sound. It really is a neat feeling where you're just right in the moment, and your mind seems present in every cell of your body.

I love it when you hit the zone. It is an awesome feeling. Sometimes (please don't think me odd), I turn up the iPod while I am on the treadmill and I hold the rails and I close my eyes and lose myself in the music. I have been so "in the zone" before that my husband, who had been working out elsewhere in the gym, came up to talk to me, stood there watching me for a minute or two and when he touched my arm I nearly jumped right out of my skin. It's almost like meditating while walking for me sometimes. I love that.
