Triceps Workout: Oh My Aching Arms!

Saw this video on this morning’s local Fox News, featuring my favorite Weather Dude, Don Harmon.

Now, Don’s not a wimp. He never has been. I’ve seen him do some of exercise guru Marty Tuley’s workouts and have been truly impressed.

But I foolishly decided, “Hey, this looks a bit like yoga’s Down Dog… only with a push up added in. I can do that!”

That was over 8 hours ago. My triceps are still screaming!

I’m definitely adding this move into my M-W-F upper body routine.

Ouch!

I’m telling you, get the Wii with some of your earnings. I boxed my 10 year old (who kicked my butt) but it definitely raised the heart rate (especially getting beat by a ten year old) and my arms are still feeling it.

Play the Boy and pride is a great motivator :)

Oh, I definitely have my sights set on the Wii next. VH will be SO miffed if he comes home to find one, though.

Okay so the Wii soreness lasts awhile. My shoulders, biceps, and triceps are all sore from that little bought yesterday. Which is simultaneously embarrassing and motivating.

When we first bought the Eye Toy for our PS2, I played the “boxing” and “karate” thing with my son for an hour and wound up sore. The next day I figured I’d do the soccer one to take it easy — what could be so strenuous about “heading” a ball, right? My thighs ached for days!

Come to think of it, that was much more fun than the step aerobics exercise videos I bought the other day. I hate, hate, HATE the way they make me trip over my feet and how I’m constantly three steps behind the “stringy orange women,” as the Big-Eyed Boy calls them.
