True, there's always going to be the question of motivation to move. However, I think there's a market out there for fat-friendly gyms offering the same types of fitnesses classes and machines, but tailored for those who're just starting out.

We've got a wonderful new gym in my town that offers classes, weight rooms, a track, sauna, spa, tanning, a hair salon... even child care! They even have pay-as-you-go plans, for those not interested in committing to monthly membership fees.

I won't go, nor will any of the Chubby Mommies I know around here. Why? Because the slinky 20-somethings have already taken it over.

We're not interested in Curves because they make you play stupid games with all of the other women there -- and most of us just want to be able to zone out while we work out -- so where does that leave us? At home, in front of the TV, working out on our own.

But it's so much easier when flipping on that TV to merely leave it on Oprah instead of popping an exercise DVD in.

Not that I do that. *cough*

An affordable gym for fat people only... Now that's an idea. Except you're faced with the same issue regardless of that gym idea. It's not about money, it's about motivation. Sometimes, if people want to lose weight, all they have to do is move.
