Fat Girls Feel More Fulfilled
That old saying “You can never be too rich or too thin” may be wrong after all. See, just as money doesn’t buy happiness, being thin doesn’t guarantee it, either. In fact, it appears that women are happiest with themselves and their lives when they’re size 14.
In a poll of 3,000 women, size 14s rated their general happiness higher than any other female shape, with a quarter saying they liked their appearance.
Almost half said they were completely happy with their career, while a third rated their love lives as the best possible.
Satisfaction levels for size 8s and size 16s were on par, while women size 6 were only slightly happier than women wearing a size 20. But unfortunately the survey doesn’t reveal the reasons why a size 14 woman would be happier than her more slender counterpart.
I can guess, though: size 14 women aren’t afraid of having a cookie or two; they’re simply smart enough not to eat the entire box.

goshdarnit, I’d be happier than sin in a convent if I could fit in a size 20!
A 14? Not since college. I’m a big girl and proud of it. I’d look hotter than hot in a size 14.
Having said that, sizes are a fraud anyway. My youngest wears anything from a size 8 through 12 depending on the maker and the style.
I remember a little experiment a girlfriend and I did once upon a time. We were at a dance, she was a lovely size 8 and I was a lovely size 22. The experiment was that I would smile, laugh, and compliment men on their dancing, she would sit with a frown, or non-expressive look. Who got asked to dance that night? Me. I was exhausted and had a great time.
My friend gave up on the experiment and joined in the fun about an hour later.
Whatever size you are, enjoy it and have fun.
I agree that it ultimately comes down to attitude, but there’s also an aspect about acceptance which is important, too.
That’s one nice thing about America getting fatter — there aren’t nearly as many skinny people busily trying to tear down everyone else. And our concept of what’s attractive has expanded, too (pun intended).
Women should have curves. They should not look like a pair of canteloupes dangling from a bundle of sticks.
Somehow, I suspect this post won’t make it. Is there a website which tells about sizes o women’s clothing? As a dirty old man, I do know about cup sizes. But men don’t have those problems.
(well, men’s shirt sizes are a problem. It used to be one could buy a shirt 17″, but today they are are sold with a variation of a half inch.)
Personally, I suspect the reason is pretty basic. I would have linked to your Aside, but there aren’t unique links for those. :s
@wg – To link an “aside”, just click on the comments and use that permalink. That said, I think you’re right. But that may tie into the skinny girl’s belief that fat chicks are simply more grateful.
I think that perception is motivated solely by jealousy.
